We are so excited to be in Tucson this week for the annual Tucson Gem and Mineral shows! As many of you have asked, "Why Tucson?" we thought you might be interested in a little background history.
The first show in 1955 was hosted by a group of avid rock hounds who formed the Tucson Gem and Mineral Society and was held at a local elementary school. The show featured nine dealers and attracted around 1,500 visitors -- the show has grown (due to the proximity to mineral mines and we think, mild, sunny winter weather) to attract 55,000 exhibitors and buyers from around the world and has expanded to over 40 locations.
We're having a blast and finding some amazing new beauties for the spring! #getexcited
