Polished Portoro Marble pebble on a hammered gold filled wire ring. In Ancient Rome, Portoro Marble was used to construct temples, amphitheaters, and imperial villas, owing to its strength and natural elegance. Its name derives from Portorož, the Italian translation of the French term for doors (“golden door”).
