In a nod to form and function, a Tourmaline with a Keshi Pearl charm floats on 14k chain just above the collarbone and serves as both the centerpiece and clasp of this minimal necklace.
Extraordinarily colorful, Tourmaline ranges in hue from maroon to yellow to green to blue to black — a range that, according to Egyptian legend, results from the stone’s journey from the Earth’s center through a rainbow.
The word “keshi” comes from the Japanese “keshinomi,” which means poppy seed — an apt descriptor of these small pearls formed by Akoya oysters.
