Nancy Kwon is an artist based in New York City. Born in Los Angeles, she spent her summers in Seoul, South Korea where her family is from. She incorporates and reinterprets motifs from classical Japanese and Korean ceramic forms, like traditional wares used in tea ceremonies or vessels used for food storage, creating work that recalls the history behind the material.
