Caroline Denervaud is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Paris. Her process begins with movement—using dance and the body as a foundation—and evolves into a dialogue of form and color. L’Importance du Rose explores Caroline’s visceral response to international political unrest and the onset of the pandemic. Centered on the color pink—long dismissed as merely “feminine” or “optimistic”—the exhibition, through video and painting, makes a compelling case for the power and necessity of these qualities in uncertain times.
